Shooting Star Children's Hospices provides specialist care and support to families who have a baby, child or young person with a life-limiting condition, or who have been bereaved. Rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, they support families across Surrey, north-west London and south-west London from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement.
The Role
Shooting Star Children's Hospices is looking for an enthusiastic Community Fundraiser to join their growing team. You will play a vital role in building relationships and raising funds across the community, working closely with the Senior Public Fundraising Manager and Head of Supporter Engagement on new and existing fundraising activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop existing community relationships and identify new opportunities
- Support community fundraising activities and events across the catchment area
- Work proactively to maximise fundraising efforts from community supporters
- Attend events and meetings, some of which may take place during evenings or weekends
- Travel regularly across the Shooting Star catchment area (Surrey and London)
Requirements
- Experience in fundraising, marketing, sales or a comparable role with transferable skills
- Strong relationship management and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential)
- Strong administration and organisational skills

- £18,000 per annum (22.5 hours, pro-rata of £30,000 FTE)
