The Role
The Director of Nonprofit Capacity Building leads the Invest in Incredible (I3) initiative, a program designed to strengthen nonprofit governance, leadership, fundraising, and operational excellence through workshops, institutes, consulting engagements, and digital learning resources. This full-time role reports to the Vice President of Community Leadership and serves as the sole leader dedicated to the I3 program.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and content leadership for the I3 initiative
- Manage and support a cohort of consultants delivering capacity-building services
- Oversee regional expansion across Sarasota, DeSoto, and Charlotte Counties
- Ensure operational oversight and brand integrity of the program
- Design and deliver high-quality learning experiences for nonprofit leaders
- Measure program impact and ensure measurable community outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, Education, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, capacity building, organizational development, or adult learning
- Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels
- Strong leadership, program design, and operational management skills
