In Canada, the organization delivers programs in over 100 hospitals and cancer centres, as well as virtually, helping participants manage the appearance-related effects of cancer treatment while fostering connection and community.

The Role

The Finance and Operations Manager plays a key role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and transparency of financial and operational processes. Reporting to the Director, Finance and Operations, this full-time position is based in Toronto with a hybrid work option. The Manager oversees accounting functions, logistics operations, inventory management, and supervises three team members while supporting organizational sustainability and compliance with Canadian regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Operations Team, overseeing workflow, priorities, and departmental impact
  • Maintain and improve policies, procedures, and internal operational processes
  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, receivable, donations, payroll support, and reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports and support forecasting and cash flow monitoring
  • Oversee inventory control, product procurement, distribution, and shipment coordination for program kits
  • Support logistics for programs, workshops, events, and warehouse coordination
  • Maintain accurate participant databases, financial records, and reporting systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams on product strategy, inventory planning, and long-term operations

Requirements

  • Degree, diploma, or certificate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in financial administration or operations within a Canadian nonprofit or charitable organization
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage
  • Knowledge of inventory management, logistics coordination, and supply chain systems
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Valid Class G driver’s license and ability to travel locally when required
