The Role

The Head of Income and Engagement provides strategic leadership across fundraising and marketing functions, driving income growth, brand visibility, and audience engagement. Reporting to the Chief Executive, this full-time, permanent role is remote-based with regular travel across the UK and plays a key role in shaping organisational strategy and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and integrate fundraising and marketing & communications teams into a cohesive function
  • Develop and deliver income generation strategies across corporate partnerships, grants, and supporters
  • Set direction for brand identity, campaigns, media presence, and digital engagement
  • Build and maintain strong external relationships with partners and stakeholders
  • Champion innovation and identify new opportunities for income growth
  • Ensure a consistent, values-led voice across press, social, and broadcast media
  • Support organisational growth, reach, and impact while keeping beneficiaries at the centre

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in fundraising, marketing, or income generation roles
  • Strong strategic planning and team management capabilities
  • Experience developing income streams including partnerships, grants, and community fundraising
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to drive brand development and audience engagement
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable groups
