About the Organisation

The Hounslow LIFE service is a multi-site support programme providing services to individuals facing homelessness, substance use challenges, and mental health needs. With a dedicated team supporting dozens of clients, the service focuses on helping vulnerable individuals rebuild their lives and achieve long-term independence.

The Role

The Recovery Support Worker will work directly with clients on their journey to recovery, helping them develop the skills needed to move into stable accommodation and live independently. This is a service-based role in Hounslow requiring flexible working hours, including shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support a caseload of clients in their recovery journey and personal development
  • Help clients build independence, manage health needs, and develop employment skills
  • Assist clients in securing and maintaining suitable accommodation
  • Provide housing management support to ensure safe, high-quality service delivery
  • Encourage clients to set goals and work towards a positive future

Requirements

  • Understanding of challenges faced by homeless or vulnerably housed individuals
  • Experience supporting vulnerable people through personal change and goal setting
  • Knowledge of issues related to low income, rent management, and professional boundaries
  • Commitment to a recovery-focused approach
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to support others
