The Role

The Regional Social Media Officer is part of the Digital Engagement team and plays a key role in promoting awareness, fundraising, and communication across social media channels. This is a remote, 18-month fixed-term contract role working 35 hours per week, supporting regional teams and improving social media operations across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote the charity’s mission and campaigns across social media platforms
  • Support regional volunteers and staff with their social media presence
  • Assist in developing and delivering social media training programmes
  • Manage and maintain a secure social media database
  • Lead and support projects to improve team efficiency and processes
  • Provide day-to-day technical and platform-specific social media guidance

Requirements

  • Significant professional experience using social media
  • Experience working within brand guidelines and policy frameworks
  • Experience supporting or working with volunteers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent copywriting ability
  • Understanding of social media platforms and technical functionality
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively
